Yeah, I got that email too, but you can't sample the tracks. After "Here Lies Crap" I'm hesitant. It looks pretty straightforward, so I'll probably get it.

Much easier to direct you here:

In summary, My big issue was that I felt misled, since there was very little of DB himself on that thing. It should have been labeled "David Byrne & Fatboy Slim present "Here Lies Love", then I would have skipped buying the deluxe edition, and would have just bought the tracks in which DB was actually performing.

The other acts were okay, some even good, but I didn't know I was buying their vocals. I wanted DB's.

I was at that show, and I remember enjoying it very much. It was not for everyone, but hardcore DB fans would enjoy the recording. I plan on picking it up!

I remember seeing some of this concert online, but can't remember if it was streamed live or was downloadable. IIRC it featured Mauro Refosco on percussion in addition to David and Caetano. Obviously some scaled down arrangements, but it should be a nice addition to the catalog.

The show was great, the singers were great, but the recording is flat and unimpressive...the guest singers don't bring it to life...maybe it was just being at the live performance but I really liked it and was waiting for it to be released. When the studio recording was released I was very disappointed.

The only live Byrne album I have is actually a bootleg of part Richard Thompson, part David, and the rest is the two of them performing together. It's quite brilliant. I have to say that the early World genre stuff David did is much better live.
