The Geek-Pop of Simon Bookish/Leo Chadburn

Sat halfway between Sufjan Stevens and Ivor Cutler with a sprinkling of Gabriel-era-Genesis and a twist of Jaques Brel is the album ‘Everything/Everything by Simon Bookish'. David Byrne would probably call it ‘avant-pop’ and he wouldn’t be far wrong. Simon Bookish is in fact the pseudonym for performance artist and all round musical artist Leo Chadburn.

‘Everything/Everything’ has the additional title of ‘A Big Band Song Cycle about Science and Information’, this should give you a clue about the alternative nature of the material and its many sounds.

It’s the ultimate in geek-pop and I can’t get enough of it!
