Can't believe he's only doing three shows in the South of England. Hope he adds more. I'm going to get tickets for both London shows if I can.

Oh, you lucky western Europeans - Mr. Byrne will not come to my country again :(
I must find another city to see him. I thought about London too, but it's Easter time so the flights will cost fortune... I wonder what the tickets price will be. But I'd love to see the gigs in London!
Thinking, thinking...

Just ordered a ticket for the first London show via DB's links on his site, thanks for the heads-up Rene. Was going to get a ticket for the second London night but at £45 + I'll have to wait to payday next month to pay for that, if I do.

April is SO far away!

Don - no link for buying or reserving at the NCH in Dublin yet and their own site has no trace either - typical of this country to be lagging behind!

Don - streuth your riddles are tricky! :D
The National Concert Hall is in Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin - it looks very plush on the website but I've never been there so have no experience of the place.
No, I didn't get the "How the Oirish discovered Africa", sounds entertaining.............
Ref the RTE show tonight :- Dave Fanning has interviewed DB before on the same show a while back. I find him a bit grating as he loves the sound of his own voice and barely lets his guests speak...........but he's certainly knowledgeable.
I'll be recording the show on Sky+ so if anyone want's it I'd be glad to share - I have no idea how I'd go about it at this stage but I'm sure it's possible.

Hi hello, sorry to reply so late - but I have very good excuse - just came back from Leonard Cohen's concert - what a gig - truly awesome performance! But coming back to the topic (aha!) - yes yes dear MrDRC I received your message -I've replied moment ago :jumpyjumpy: My dear god... I must calm down a bit coz right now I'm goin from my depression state of mind straight to the beautiful maniac one :) Do we think about the same birthday in March???! :) Thank you for thinking about absolutely everything, Don!
And iRene - you just inspired me with a great idea - I must arrange a few things and I hope I'll be able to go for Manchester show too :) (why not???) Thank you!

:( Hello to everyone, I'm a big fans of David, I live 50 miles from Milan - Italy. I am very sad because it seems that Italy is not currently included in the tour. There are reports of any concerts in Milan? It would be a great loss for us Italians do not see David in this great tour, which seems the best of his solo career.
Hello and good fun for those who can see live. Ivan

Hi mdr, my t'internet has been tempermental the last few weeks so just recently got around to registering here again!!! :D .....interesting thing about the concert hall tix, got them in person from the box office and the guy recommended that I get row K tix as apparently the stage will be quite elevated.. Seemed strange but I took his word for it anyway!! This will sell out pretty fast.. Tbh I would've preferred a standing room concert in the Olympia or Ambassador (he played an ecstatic gig there in 2002) as many people feel awkward standing if those behind are still sitting. Did you get yours in person or on-line?? Off to see the great Jackie Leven tomorrow night- can't wait!!

Hi Wes, no other boardmembers for Dublin then? Looks like I'm in for a cricked neck if the fella's advice is correct..... :( (Bought online btw)
I wonder if standing tickets are mostly a thing of the past for DB now? As his audiences have all gottten older and stopped making sense we have to sit down most of the time and are too old to dance!
Was the Olympia 2002? My dementia gets the better of me - I was there anyway - I can remember that.

P.S. The Last Broadcast shown last week on RTE 2 was not the episode described by the RTE Guide or the SKY info guide - sooner or later David Byrne will be on the show so keep a look out for it.

Hey, the Olympia show was in 2004 for the Grown Backwards Tour, the Ambassador show was in 2002.. The Ambassador show was electric and the audience were amazing (5 minute-plus ovation at one point) as DB had just come off the success of "Lazy" as it was still very high in the charts at the time.. Yeah I remember being disappointed tuning into the Last Broadcast expecting DB and getting Rod f'n Stewart instead!!
