What other big bands out there haven't reunited for a tour?

The Smiths haven't toured. That's the only one I could think of at the moment.

I wouldn't want to see TH reunite. It just wouldn't be the same. They'll never have that energy again.

I had this theory though, that maybe Talking Heads could get together to play all their albums (kind of like how bands would devote a whole tour to an album).

They would hold a residency at some club or theatre in NY, and they would devote one night to an album and the songs that were written for that album (b-sides, out takes, etc.)

They could stretch it out over like 9 months or so, doing one album a month.

I think that would be enough of a reunion, I'd buy tickets for every show. I would kill to hear some True Stories stuff live, although I'm not sure if David could sing Love for Sale or Puzzlin Evidence anymore, at least as they were arranged for the album.

This article was posted this summer where David again dismisses a reunion. He does rather cryptically mention that the offers seem to have dried up. I almost wonder if he mentions the lack of offers as an incintive for promoters to begin the offers again, like he almost is fanning the flames of a reunion. I know it's a stretch, but a Talking Heads fan can dream right?
