Talking Heads Concert History

Hi Little Creatures...

Building a new site/blog (a slog?) with pages that cover the years from 1975 to 1984. It covers research of TH's tour history with all the known dates, venues, etc. This should help everyone answer that age-old question "when did I see them? - or was I hallucinating?"

Have a look, hope you like it. We're looking to add new info to the database, so feel free send your ticket stub scans, historical concert info, etc. talkingheadsconcerthistoryATgmailDOTcom

Yes, that is a helpful list, but not updated since 2005. I've been trying to reconcile the dates between the two lists. The "louis fyne" list is very helpful for figuring out all the various bootlegs with mislabeled dates, and has a nice discography... Thanks for looking.

Awesome. I will check it out. I think I still have an account on dimeadozen.

Thank you. Your site is very important to the history of Talking Heads.

Will you be adding an entry for 1989 when Jerry and David joined Tom Tom Club for a few songs? Or from the RnRHoF?

Yes, thanks for the reminder. Was the date of NYC show July 15 1989? Someone actually sold Tina's handwritten setlist from that gig on ebay...

Hammersmith Odeon 2nd Dec 1980

This was such an incredible night, especially as I had been looking forward
to seeing them since '77 and had missed their first UK Tour.
The support band were Irish rockers U2 plugging the 'Boy' album. I seem to
recall them playing 'I Will Follow' 3 TIMES!!! or maybe they just all sounded the same,
earnest and simply very annoying.

The mighty Heads however were on fire that night, with a show almost a ringer
for the 'Stop Making Sense' set in its entirety. David Byrne with his acoustic guitar
and cassette player at the start, slowly joined onstage by the full band and friends,
until the whole place was dancing madly! An unforgettable night.
