I had a touch of the old insomnia last night. So I was watching a biopic of Ted Bundy on the Horror channel into the wee small hours. Towards the films natural conclusion there was some original news footage from outside the jail preceding his execution. A man was holding a sign which read "This ain't no party/This ain't no disco/This ain't no fooling around/Burn baby burn". Such infamy. Odd considering the words from Life During Wartime had the anti-disco slogan which was misinterpreted at the time, within it's lyrics. Coupled with the lyrics from a pretty enormous disco hit. I dunno maybe a touch of irony from the signwriter there?
Also this afternoon, at the supermarket. I caught a trailer for the movie 'Killers' which had Psycho Killler playing in the background. What a startlingly imaginitive use of song -> film title.
