Artists only: Francey, the writing on image 1 looks like AC/DC to me.
Ruben, I believe that is Billy Joel's knee, and that gloomy picture is a Who album. (Quadrophenia maybe?)

That's because it is; to wrap things up, the missing piece of Image #1 is The Razor's Edge by ACDC.

So let's bring on a fresh round!

Now...some of these albums are connected in a very certain way. If you can see what joins, say, numbers 7 and 10 then you're on the right track. So name those albums and what binds them together for extra credit!

4). Image 5). Image 6). Image

7). Image 8). Image 9). Image

10). Image 11). Image12). Image

Good luck!!

7) Cosmic Thing by The B-52s
8) Shake It Up by The Cars
14) Computer Games by George Clinton

Hmm... the whole "connection" aspect is driving me crazy!

In addition to that:

2. Bruce Springsteen - The Rising
4. The Cure - Disintegration
5. Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers - Conscious Party
12. Alicia Keys - Songs in A Minor

As for the connection is there 1 connection that connects all 14 records....?

9 Fatboy Slim - You've Come A Long Way Baby
10 Eno - Another Green World

Still don't see a connection - Aaaarggghhh

The Fatboy Slim album isn't the original UK cover. Is that a clue?

Hmm... I've only got the 'fatboy' cover... Anyway, so Cybers hint is to find the connection between The B-52's "Cosmic Thing" and Brian Eno's "Another Green World"...

Wait, is the connection that all albums contain a song about fire...? B-52's: Bushfire, Springsteen: Into the Fire, Eno: St. Elmo's Fire, Ziggy: Have you ever been to hell...... nah, nothing on the Alicia Keys album.... Ok, ok, what about: all covers have a shade of GREEN...?

No, no, no, no!

Lol.

The connection is between some albums. Not all.

They have a certain common denomiator (or denominators) that greet you each time you visit this site...

Frank,

You're soooooo on the right track!! But what are the other connections??

Here are some hints to help out the as-of-yet unidentified:

#1). Died in a plane crash.

#3). No hints--do you realize how easy this one is?

#6). This band can be tied to the "connection" in two separate ways. Can you name them and the two connections? Put your heads together...

#11). Isn't it ironic that nobody can get this one? Well, isn't this nice...

#13). Also died in a plane crash. One of the greatest guitarsists ever.

#13 is Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood (he died in a helicopter crash if I remember well, not a plane crash...) His brother is in Fabulous Thunder Birds, which sounds like Fabulosos Cadillacs, which was a band once produced by Chris and Tina...?

This conection thing gives me sleepless nights!!

1. is John Denver, Rocky Mountain High, but I still don't see a connection...

Francey, about the time you were posting about the Cure, Disintegration, I saw it on the wall in a charity shop!

Okay--this is getting to be like "six degrees of separation". So I'll spill the beans. It may have been more vague than I anticipated.

Yes..some (not all) of the albums received substantial involvement from one or more members of Talking Heads... or otherwise have an extremely direct relationship to the band.

#5). "Conscious Party", Produced by Chris and Tina

#6). A very popular album produced by Jerry Harrison (yes...you should be embarrassed)

#7). The B-52s, which, if memory of a conversation with Tina Weymouth serves me right, were essentially discovered by Chris and Tina.

#9). Fatboy Slim, collaborating with David Byrne (and a video that can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D-8W4HXFlE

#10). Brian Eno

Meantime, nice work on #1 and #13. But no one has pegged #3, #6 and #11. Come on folks: # 6 and #11 both came out around the same part of the last decade and were stellar successes.

#3 became the breakthrough album circa 1999 for a band from Oklahoma that's know for creating lush musical landscapes. And, a popular song from a subsequent album was used in a number of commercials including Mitsubishi.

#6 - Crash Test Dummies - And God Shuffled his Feet (blocked from memory on purpose - what a horrible, horrible albummmmmhmmmhmmm!)

B-52's... "Mesopotamia" would have been a better choice because of David's involvement (he produced it) ;-)

3 : first time I saw it I thought either Ramones (because of the jeans) or Lou Reed (the colors), but it must be something else.

11 : I thought it was Live's "Throwing Copper", but close inspection of the actual cover proved me wrong.

So, no idea...

Aaah, of course :
#3: Flaming Lips - Soft Bulletin - No TH connection
...and i sort of messed up the numbers in the Live/Crash Test Dummies ones didn't I...?

#11 - yes, obvious now - I'll leave the last word to somebody else.

The first pic of #11 looks like Terry Hall of Fun Boy Three, but it's not from the cover of Waiting which D.B. produced. Mmm...
