'Stop Making Sense', senseless sense.

In the exhibition 'Stop Making Sense' ten starting curators bring together art, music, design and performance.

The title of this exposition was derived from the legendary record and film by the band Talking Heads. The artistic leader of this band, David Byrne is a symbol for versatility of this group of participants of Het Proces, the makers of this exhibition.

Byrne, musician, editor, visual artist, and theater designer ,brings together influences from visual arts,mass media and performance. The makers of this exhibition adopted his conception of art for this multimedia exhibition. The selected works include a monumental sculpture by Patrick Ros, a video installation of Giancarlo Pazzanese, recordings of performances (Eva Pel and Ingrid Greijn), photos from Isolde Woudstra, a small installation by Niels Engel, an object by Inge van der Ven and a performance by Ingrid Greijn.

Additionally there will be live music and a lecture about David Byrne.

Engel created the overall design of this exhibition for this three day exhibition that will take place at the Eye Witness Studio at Steenhouwerssteeg 10, Amsterdam.

“Het Proces”, a programmme for beginning curators. Kunstenaars&Co invited ten artists and designers to
participate in Het Proces, a program for the beginning curator. The participants visited behind the scene, well known art institutions such as the Amsterdam Van Gogh Museum, the Gemeentemuseum at The Hague and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen at Rotterdam. They met with museum directors, curators, foundation advisers and designers.

'Stop Making Sense', is a multimedia exhibition with sculpture, photos, video installation, performance and
live music.

Sounds amazing, wish I could make it. They should bring this to London, it would certainly be a hit.
