Some Jim White shows I've video'd

Postby muleskinner on April 5th, 2011, 10:08 pm

For those of you who don't know Jim White, DB signed him to Luakabop back in '97 and he was on the label until just recently.
Anyway, I heard his first CD, "The story about how I shouted "WRONG EYED JESUS" 14 years ago. It was mesmerizing then and i'ts mesmerizing now. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to see a bunch of his shows.

Here's a few:

Thanks for those JG, been listening to Jim since he supported David Byrne on tour!
May I also recommend the cd he made with Linda Delgado, aka Mama Lucky, "Permanent Stranger" and the one with Johnny Dowd and Willie B as Hellwood, "Chainsaw of Life". All good stuff.

Even stranger than the true story "The strange tale of how I shouted WRONGEYED JESUS!" is the strange and true story of Jim White stalking David Byrne long before he was signed to Luakabop.

I don't see it for sale on his website http://www.jimwhite.net/merch.html at the moment, but if you're interested, you can contact him at jimart@jimwhite.net, as I'm pretty sure there are still copies of the book.

Catch Jim's current tour if you can, he just gets better. (Sorry Martin, there don't seem to be any dates in Ireland :( )
