The Suburbs wins Grammy for best album

Glad to see an alt-rock band win album of the year. Anyone watch the Grammys this year?

I don't really bother, because I don't feel anyone really wins the award they deserve. It's based on popularity more than actual content.

As a musician, I wouldn't accept a Grammy. Thanks Sinead.

Still reeling from TMBG not winning their third Grammy for "Here Comes Science", by far the best kids' record on the planet.

Thanks for the tip, Buglet. I'm always on the lookout for good kids' music. Have you heard "Snacktime" by Barenaked Ladies?

I don't see TMBG as Grammy material. Their early work was way too out there and often depressing subject-wise for mainstream America. I don't know any kids who actually listen to their music; just adults, and they often drag their kids along to a show.

TMBG have already won 2 Grammys for their children's stuff. Here Comes Science is (mostly) superb - Meet The Elements is a fantastic song in its own right, and educational too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy0m7jnyv6U

If Talking Heads didn't exist, They Might Be Giants would be my favourite band by miles.

Hmm... I was certainly wrong. I enjoy the early years; I don't care so much for the latter stuff because the lyrics went downhill.
